I read The Hobbit last year. It was pretty hard to read because all the names of people and palces (that aren't in the LotR movies). It was hard to remember what was what. I'm reading FotR and it's easier to read because of the movies, I can't imagine reading it with out seeing the movies first. I think if they make The Hobbit into a movie it would be easier to read. I was wondering if it was hard for anyone else to read or if I'm just not smart enough to read it.

I read the book before the movies came out, so it wasn't that hard for me to understand, because I didn't have any names to confuse it with. I know that it would be hard to understand if your thinking about hobbits as in Frodo, and dwarves as in Gimli. It would be hard. YOU'RE NOT STUPID... NEVER SAY THAT,K? Luv always.

It's really hard to read when you're in grade 5, don't understand half of the words and get bored with it every other week... I could probably read it in like, 3 days now.

Yay, glowing-ness. o.O I should personalize my font... hmmm.... v____v
And... I'm almost ready to start reading LotR again. I just have to finish books 10 and 11 of 'A Series of Unfortunate Events' which will only take me a few days.
Look! Personalized font!

Yeah, they're really good. But they're childrens books, so the plot isn't very 'deep' per se, but they're still an interesting and very easy read.

To pip: Yes I think they are good
To Thegirloflij: How can you say you love them if you havn't read them?
To anyone: I think one of the really hard things about reading the hobbit was remembering who was a dwarf and who wasn't. like one man I thought was a dwarf for so long. and so after I relized he wasn't a dwarf I was very confussed. I was confussed before I relized he was a man too.
